A new way for parents to pay child support

Sometimes, Missouri parents may feel like there aren’t enough hours in a day. Between holding down a job, caring for children and maintaining a home, parents often look for time-saving mechanisms, such as online shopping or mobile bill paying. Now, parents might be excited to hear about a new way to make child support payments.

Recently, a company called Conduent, which processes mobile child support payments in several states already, announced a new partnership that will help parents in all 50 states be able to make mobile payments from their computer or smartphone. Conduent will now be able to provide parents with an option to pay via PayPal.  Most parents have probably used PayPal before, and are familiar with this platform.

Conduent already processes about a third of child support payments made online with their ExpertPay platform. The company reports it is compliant with all known state laws regulating the remittance of child support payments. Now, the new deal with PayPal will make it easier and faster for parents to make their payments from anywhere, anytime, from a secure and familiar platform.

Child support payments are a way to ensure that a child has access to everything he or she needs to grow up happy and healthy. If a Missouri parent needs some help establishing, modifying or enforcing a child support order, contacting a knowledgeable attorney may be a good place to start. Child support is often handled by the court, and a helping hand with the legal process is another way for a parent to streamline the process and ensure that these financial issues are handled fairly and in accordance with applicable laws.
