Missouri readers likely know that Real Housewives of New York star, Bethenny Frankel has been engaged in more than one legal battle with her now former spouse, Jason Hoppy. Their 6-year-old daughter, Bryn, has been a central focus in the ongoing child custody proceedings, which reportedly lasted for several years. Recently, a spokesman for Hoppy indicated that the businessman seems very happy with the resolutions obtained that recognize his right to share in the future care and upbringing of his daughter.
Frankel says she cried when her former husband finally moved out of the home he was living in, while she was bouncing around from hotel to hotel, as well as living in other temporary forms of housing. She reportedly had been the one to purchase the former couple’s home through a trust. Yet, after they chose to divorce, he continued to live there.
Raging debates between parents can obviously put lots of stress on a minor child. It can also cause delays and other impediments during the divorce process. This is one of the reasons many concerned parents/spouses retain the help of a skilled negotiator before attempting to resolve such issues. An experienced divorce lawyer would know the best way to approach a particular situation in order to obtain a favorable and agreeable outcome in court.
Frankel’s and Hoppy’s child custody issues were resolved when their now 6-year-old daughter was 4. The house issue also appears to have been settled, and Hoppy has moved out of the residence. Those facing similar child custody and/or divorce issues in Missouri may contact a family law attorney for assistance.
