The summer of 2019 has brought particularly brutal heat waves to much of the nation. Parents need to use extra caution to ensure that their children do not suffer harm in such extreme temperatures. Recently, a Missouri mother learned the hard way that one bad decision can affect child custody.

It seems that the child’s mother left the small toddler in a hot car for an undermined period of time. The child was reportedly drenched in sweat and understandably upset. The mother is now facing criminal charges for her irresponsible decision, and the child was taken to the state’s Children’s Division.
